The Art of Embodied Practice
Documenting everyday moments through the natural world.
About the Work
Through the art of embodied practice, my work serves as an invitation: to witness feeling, sensation, and detail within the present moment. Brushwork serves as a dictation of energy, motion, and form, while color captures emotional tone and mood. Through nuanced color shifts, the work encapsulates the feeling or memory of a moment frozen in time. It is a practice that embodies the geography of time, feeling, and place, documenting everyday moments through the natural world.
In recognizing both the grandeur of nature and the everyday, we gain perspective—not only on our relationship to the natural world but also on our role with ourselves. In that way, it serves as a record of both the internal and external landscapes.
